The Problem APEX Exists to Solve
Over the past 60 years, the Church has largely abandoned men and the culture at large, and failed to link Bible knowledge with biblical formation of men.
Most Christian men are sincere in their faith. Few have the full theological insight and cultural understanding to engage the world around them. APEX exists to close these gaps. Not with more information, but with intensive, immersive formation that produces men who think clearly, act faithfully, multiply what they’ve been given, and build legacies for future generations.
The Church in America is facing a formation crisis. The result is a generation of Christian men who are confused and frustrated, retreating from cultural conflict and capitulating to cultural pressure, or engage without clarity, conviction or vision.
Seminaries, conferences, podcasts, and Bible studies are abundant. What is scarce is the kind of intensive, immersive formation that produces leaders capable of thinking theologically, engaging culturally, and multiplying — in Fort Worth and beyond.
APEX exists because the Church needs men not merely to hold ground, but to advance Christ’s Kingdom in the time and place God appointed them.
Who Is APEX For
APEX is for emerging leaders forming their mission and experienced leaders who know the mission goes on. Whatever your season of leadership, APEX will meet you where you are and propel you further.
God calls men to lead inside and outside the church. Regardless of your season or vocation — pastor, lay leader, young professional, college graduate, seminary graduate, or experienced and accomplished leader — APEX forges men into a brotherhood in a 12-man cohort.
The cohort is small by design. The accomplished leader and the young leader sharpen each other in relationship. The younger man gains wisdom. The experienced man gains the energy of younger men beside him and the opportunity to invest in a mission that will outlast him. These experiences are not available in a conference room, a seminary classroom, a Sunday morning service, or a Bible study.
What Is Being Asked of You
APEX will require more than weekly attendance. Each man is expected to identify a Cultural Sector of Influence (CSI) — a specific domain of culture where he senses a calling to bring renewal — and engage it seriously over the full course of the program. This means building real relationships, developing genuine cultural fluency, and committing to that sector beyond graduation.
God created you for a time and place to serve His purposes in your family, church, business, institutions, and city.
APEX operates on a principle of effects-based thinking — always keeping the desired end-state in clear view rather than measuring success by activity alone. We do not ask what you are doing — we ask what effect you are having? God’s redemptive story is our primary lens, and we act in the best interest of the image bearers who inhabit every sector we enter.
Selection for APEX
APEX is not for everyone. It is a rigorous, 10-month formation initiative that demands more of men. Course work is on par with a master’s level graduate program. APEX is selective by design because genuine formation requires men who are truly prepared to be formed.
There is a cost to this formation — in time, in energy, in financial investment, and in the willingness to be stretched, corrected, and challenged over the full arc of the program. Men who enter APEX half-committed do not serve themselves or the cohort. The men beside you are counting on you. The mission requires it.
Before applying, we ask that you do three things: pray, count the cost, and be honest with yourself about whether this is the right season. It will be demanding of your schedule, your family, and your comfort. If the timing is not right, there will be another cohort.
What APEX Produces
- Fortitude
Theological backbone, courageous speech, and the ability to lead under pressure without flinching. Men who complete APEX are cool-headed, clearer in conviction, and more effective.
- Network
A powerful network of like-minded men across vocations, generations, and sectors. An alumni community that extends your reach. Intellectual and theological tools that compound over a lifetime of engagement. Access to relationships and credibility that no credential can manufacture.
- Fruitful Life
Clarity of calling, a mission plan, and the ability to multiply what you’ve been given into the lives of others. Men who finish APEX are force multipliers for the Kingdom. They leave a wake. Their families, churches, businesses, and cities are better because they went through the forge.
- Brotherhood
Men enter APEX as individuals and leave as a band of brothers. The relationships forged in this cohort — across vocations, generations, and sectors — outlast the program and extend each man’s reach far beyond what he could build alone. This is iron sharpening iron.
- Kingdom Vision
Formation rooted in the gospel, not just personal development. Every phase of APEX is grounded in the conviction that the work men do in their sectors — faithfully, courageously, and with clarity — matters for eternity. We are building the Kingdom.
“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.”
— Ephesians 2:10 (ESV) —
Men who complete APEX will be:
Scripturally Grounded
Formed by the authority of Scripture, applied to complex real-world contexts
Culturally Literate
Able to understand cultural dynamics and ideologies with discernment, not alarm
Courageous and Clear
Speaking and leading faithfully in the face of opposition, ambiguity, or pressure
Mission-Ready
Deployed with a plan, accountability, support structure, and a clear next step
“Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another.”
— Proverbs 27:17 (ESV) —
